25 Funniest Movies Since 1983 ?

So Entertainment Weekly has a new list of the 25 Funniest Movies Since 1983.

Their lists are always good for some argument. What do you all think ?

I created a bit of a rebuttal over at my place, but I thought I'd drop the puck here as well and see what you think about their list and/or my list.

No "Back to School" with Rodney Dangerfield, and introducing Sam Kinnison?? Disgraceful

WTF? Why 1983? I don't get the need. Oh, wait. I see "Tropic Thunder" on the list, so it's a cheap way to promote that flick! "Let's stick it in a list with some classic comedies!"

Ghostbusters really was hilarious, but funnier than Spinal Tap or even Clerks. More culturally accepted? Yes. More often copied or spoofed? Indeed.

LOL, I just realized '83 is 25 years ago. Sorry. The funny part is that I was married that year, so that should have jumped out at me right away. My bad.

Still, I think they did this to promote Tropic Thunder!

That list was 60%+ crap...

Amazing some of the movies left off. The idiot who wrote it must have been digging randomly through his DVD collection after seeing Tropic Thunder and decided to throw that column together... stopped looking when he reached 25.
