R.I.P.

Funny, funny, funny.

I think of Saturday nights, gathered around the TV, a bit past my regular, weekday bed time and my mom laughing while sewing. Nice memory.

Yeah, I remember the same thing, except my mom was probably knitting. Mary, Bob, and Carol.

Harvey never fails to crack me up when I watch him try to keep a straight face amidst some Tim Conway buffoonery.

I will always love Harvey for his Burnett show contributions. What Saturday night memories. And, man, he was awesome in the Mel Brooks flicks, too. RIP Harvey K!

I think of his Clark Gable impersonation in the "Went With the Wind" sketch and his Oscar line in Blazing Saddles. ;)

Can you believe it was "Love Boat" that sunk "TCBS?"

I don't think the Love Boat could have done that if the variety show hadn't already been on the way out.

This seriously broke my heart. Harvey and the rest of the Carol Burnett cast were the absolute #1 influence on my sketch comedy troupe. Their ability to not only never get rattled when a sketch went awry -- usually intentionally because of Tim Conway -- but to actually make it funnier, was unparalleled.
