What would you like to see on a big screen?

I was just browsing this list at EW and I've seen a few of these films on the big screen (Titanic, GWTW, etc). I agree with most of the choices people presented in the list.

If you could see any movie(s) on a big screen (bigger than what's in today's multiplexes), what would you like to see and why?

LOL, I'm so old I DID see Star Wars on a BIG SCREEN! Oh, and Halloween and Rocky, too. Some theaters were still "onesies" in the 70's!

But, on a bigassed screen, I'd love to see The Princess Bride, just to see those Rodents of even MORE UNUSUAL size!

The Sergio Leone films caught my eye, especially Once Upon a Time in the West. The cinematography in that was remarkable. 2001 would be cool, too. I don't remember the name of the theater, but I saw the Shining in Detroit when it was first out and the screen was the largest I've ever seen. It was very cool!

It wasn't on the list, but I'd also like to see West Side Story on a screen like that.

True Grit, to John Wayne get called a one eyed fat man, and responding with "fill your hand you son of a bitch", reins in mouth, gun in hand riding to the climax. In fact, I want that to be in a 3D Imax theatre. One of my favorite movie scenes ever.

Cody- that WOULD be cool. I love that flick. Now that you mention it, how about How the West was Won? Big screen spectacle was pretty much the main purpose of that film.

My work did a thing where they rented out the Boulder Theater, a beautiful, old school, carved wood and velvet curtains theater and ran a showing of "The Wizard of Oz" on the big screen. It was a kid’s event, but myself and my 8-months-preggers-at-the-time niece went because we both love the movies. Pretty awesome, esp. the flying monkeys.

I also want to see Lawrence of Arabia on a gigantic screen! O'Toole's eyes would be amazing.

Yes to L of A and to 2001 and to Star Wars, all of which I saw on the big screen when they came out anyway. Star Wars was best at the drive-in where you could park way down front and get high and totally be part of the final swooping space battle sequence.

Chinatown
Lawrence of Arabia
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Raging Bull
Godfather
2001

Some I've been lucky enough to see on the big screen:

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Godzilla (the original Japanese version)
Star Wars (at the drive-in when I was 8!)
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Casablanca
Wizard of Oz
GWTW
Godfather II
Apocalypse Now
Goonies
The Disco Dolls in Hot Skin, in 3-D!
