Bergman and Antonioni

I just realized no one posted anything about the fact that Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni died on the same exact day a couple weeks ago. Two of the best, ever.

No, but I did take the opportunity to FINALLY see a Bergman film. The Seventh Seal, natch.

Ooh, what did you think? I first saw it when I was in college, and it blew me away then. I've seen it probably three or four times since, and I find something new every time.

Well, on first viewing I finally got a lot of jokes I've seen in other things, such as Animaniacs and Bill & Ted. It's one of those films, however, that I'll have to see at least twice before I'll want to discuss it. There is obviously a lot of hidden stuff here and I wasn't watching with absolutely full attention. I was getting up to do stuff.

I can say that it is hard to believe the knight was played by the same guy that played both Jesus and Ming the Merciless!
