I already knew I liked Lucy, her taste in movies, is one more reason. Thanks for doing this Jefe, I had tons of fun, and I'm already looking forward to next year.

One more question, if I may, do any of you Freaks, have a movie recomendation for me? The missus and I are staying in this Friday, and I'm looking for a good rental. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

Cody, I loved "Once," a musical film with a refreshing soundtrack and sweet love story. My hubby liked it, too, and he HATES "chick flicks," so you know it's not just another one of those.

Congrats to Paticus and Asbestos Dust, who beat me out in the end! I wanted to pick The Grail, but I just could not do it over SLIH!!

Nicely done!! Applause, applause ;)

Hey, was thinking about a possible topic for Madness 2009. "Best movie of the 70’s". Think about; you got your “Godfather” series, the whole genre of big disaster flicks, “Saturday Night Fever” and “Grease”.

“Star Wars”, “Jaws”, “The Exorcist”, “Last Tango in Paris”, “The Sting”, “American Graffiti”, “Apocalypse Now”, “The Deer Hunter”, “Taxi Driver”…must I go on?

And even those of us to young to have been around for first run, we of the FFFC know the beautiful classics.

Only downside? “Bonnie and Clyde” (1967), “Planet of the Apes (1968) and “Midnight Cowboy” (1969).

It really is like watching the NCAA tournament, as so often happens, the team that is really just second or third best manages to win...

Yeah thanks, everybody, for totally ruining my life. It's a consolation that Mel Brooks didn't win, but only a small one.

PS the best film of the 70s was The Godfather, so that's that one sorted out.

I suggest bad good movies i.e. movies that should have been good, so no Killer Tomatoes, but weren't.

OR quotable movies. Like Hamlet, number of quotes from said movie (not Hamlet, obvo) which have entered common parlance. You'd need to organisize that one differently (which movie says organisize?) to force peeps to defend their choice.

As for this year, I'm writing it off. What a travesty of justice. I'll never watch a movie again. But apart from that I'm okay.

Thx, Jefe.

Nah dude. The Godfather. And Godfather II. Ten times a day, in all sorts of situations, somebody cuts in line at the supermarket, I'm like, I knew it was you, Fredo, you broke my heart, you broke my heart. With the big smackeroo and everything.

Also, while I'm on, thanks Jeffrey. Leave it not be said I was less than grateful, just because I said you'd ruined my life. So much hard work, you did us proud.

How hard do I get spanked for admitting I've seen none of "The Godfather's"?

How hard do I get spanked

Is it me or did it suddenly get really warm in here?

If you're looking for a good spanking, sweetums, you certainly don't have to go nearly so far. I'm sure there are several of us who would be happy enough to oblige :-)

Sorry, couldn't resist a little celebration of the BEST COMEDY EVER!

I am also celebrating my virtual victory in the 2008 MMM - 119 points by way of my alternate bracket, with but 2 mis-picks past round three.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off for a little victory dance.

BTW, GREAT job Jefe, despite the dearth of John Hughes flicks.

Whoo-Hoo !!!
And congrats to Asbestos Dust as well.
And thanks Jefe, for coordinating the whole gosh-darned thing. Helluva job.
But, I must add..."what dark times these are when passing roughians can say "ni" at will to old ladies."

Jefe! Great work again this year. I vote for Horror movies next year. Maybe we could all submit our top 10 favorite movies for the genre that's selected and the ones that get the most faves are part of the Movie Madness!

Think about it...

SciFi movies. SciFi... Methinks the overall result might be more in doubt than it may seem at first blush...

Cool. I never won anything before. Except for that "Worldwide Search For The Nicest Guy On The Internet" thing, but that was no contest, really.

Congrats Paticus.
