It's sad to see A&CMF go down so fast, but even though that film and I go way back, I still had to vote for Holy Grail. Too bad they weren't up against Arthur.
I thought Wanda was funny, but not as funny as everyone around me thinks. Then again, I thought Fierce Creatures was a lot funnier than it got credit for.
I agree on that. I mean, Hoffman is kind of comical and utters some funny lines, and the whole "are you trying to seduce me" thing is funny, but I would not count Graduate as a comedy. Since others who do this classificifying (I'm taking the Dubya tack here) are supposedly experts, I will go along with it.
For me, it's more of a social commentary on those crazy late 60's.

Too bad about Manhattan... I had a feeling on that one. Brilliant pic... Oh well.
Yeah, but His Girl Friday ALMOST makes up for Arsenic & Old Lace. Except it isn't as funny.
4 for 4. I'll need it!
I don't think The Graduate is funny. I don't think The Graduate is even good. I am not ashamed.
I think it's a fine film, but once again, not primarily a comedy. It's a drama with some very funny parts, as all good dramas have.
